A virtual Appliance is a pre-packed software, comprised of one or more virtual machines which is packaged,maintained,updated and managed as a unit. Virtual appliances are self-contained with application stacks that customized for the workload and embedded with the operating system. Benefits of using virtual appliance will reduce lot of effects of manual development,installation and configuration of software components and operating system. Virtual appliances are more reliable and secure with a set of files. Once powered-on the virtual appliance, application is instantaneously available.Virtual appliance are packaged to run as a virtual machine on VMware vSphere, VMware Infrastructure (VI),VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion, VMware Server, and VMware Player. virtual appliances can also be utilize high availability features by deploying on the vSphere hosts.
Below are list of Usernames and passwords for some of the VMware virtual Appliances. This information will be avilable in each of the appliance documentation but in this i am just consolidating default username and password for the below appliance for quick reference.
